Food delivery apps Zomato and Swiggy face brief outages

The Zomato and Swiggy food delivery platform on Wednesday reported a short blackout in various cities in India. The customer service team from the two companies replied to users who were angry on Twitter and convinced them that each team worked to correct technical problems.

Zomato said it was “temporary error” while Swiggy called it “technical obstacle”. Both applications rise after a few hours but users still complain on social media about interference.

“Hi, we face a temporary mistake. Thank you to our technology friends, we are back and run. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the interim and hope to serve you better in the future,” Zomato Care tweeted to the user.

“Hi, we are currently not able to process your request because we experience technical constraints. Don’t worry, our best thoughts are there and we will soon go,” answered Puites Swiggy to users who were annoyed on Twitter.

Downdetector, a website that tracks the application and modout of the website, shows that 3,539 zomato blackout reports at 15:33 while the number of blackouts for Swiggy stands at 857.
