WhatsApp finally lets users react to messages with any emoji, update rolls out
WhatsApp launched the emoji reaction feature a few weeks ago for all its users but there were only six emoji reactions available at the launch, including ‘surprises’, ‘laughing’, ‘sad’, ‘crying’, ‘crying’, ‘red heart’, and ‘pray’ . However, it changes now because the instant messaging application now launches the ability for users to use any emoji in reaction to text messages and media files in groups or individual chat. There will be a new plus symbol that will open more emojis in the tray at the bottom.
Emoji tray will also have a search bar where users can find emojis that are more relevant than only five options. In addition, WhatsApp will also allow users to adjust emoji skin color, which is not available with previous updates. This feature will be available for everyone in stages.
More emoji reactions on WhatsApp
WhatsApp will soon launch more emoji reactions on the chat platform. This feature is released only with five reactions and the company has said it will add more gradually and it seems like it’s time to arrive. The emoji reaction feature has long been awaited on WhatsApp because Facebook and Instagram have an option for a while. Reception of features on WhatsApp seems to work quite well because it is very interesting in keeping the conversation continue.
WhatsApp confirms the availability of more emoji reactions and says that they partner with the creator of the world emoji day, emojipedia, to specify some of the most “debated and the latest emojis that will be seen by users in the chat. It is said that users will get access to this information after new updates start launched.
Separately, WhatsApp is said to be working on features that will allow users to synchronize their chat history between several devices. This feature will be reportedly called ‘companion mode‘. This will allow users to link secondary mobile devices to their WhatsApp accounts without requiring active internet connectivity. However, the details of the launch of the right features are stored in a wrapper, for now.
