SpaceX Crew-4 astronauts arrive in Florida ahead of April 23 launch to ISS (photos)
The astronauts that will be launched on the SpaceX Crew-4 mission to the International Space Station have arrived in Florida before planning April 33.
In just a few days, on this upcoming Saturday (April 23), a crew from four astronauts will blow up from the Kennedy NASA room center in Florida on a six-month mission to the International Space Station. The crew-4 astronaut includes the Astronaut NASA KJELL Lindgren (which will order the mission), Jessica Watkins and Robert Hines and European space agencies astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti. Today (April 18), the crew arrived in Florida ahead of their journey.
And in new photos released from bound astronauts in the room, you can see their excitement as soon as they get off the plane in Florida.
Only a few days ago, on April 15, the team from NASA and SpaceX conducted a seven-hour flight readiness review for the Crew-4 mission. Without a big problem detected, the mission made the green light to continue the launch on April 23 on the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Pad 39A in KSC. The elevator is currently set for 5:26 morning EDT (0926 GMT) that morning.
“At present, everything looks good, and we have a clear path to the chance of launching April 23,” Jared Metter, director of aviation reliability in SpaceX, said during a call with a reporter after FRR on April 15.
This mission will come carefully on the heels of the launch of other SpaceX crew. On April 8, Falcon 9 rockets launched four personal astronauts to the laboratory orbiting as part of the Axiom Space 10-Day Ax-1 mission, the first personal mission to the station.
After the SpaceFlyers Crew-4 has reached the station, docked and entered it, they will be welcomed by the astronauts who have lived and work on the boat. After the Period of Handover which usually lasts several days, the spacex Crew-3 mission astronauts will depart, do not expect and return to earth on their dragon capsules.
