Pixel 7 series to continue using Samsung’s OLED panels
Google launched upstairs smartphones to come, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, quite early. However, the company does not explain in detail about the specifications of the smartphone. Now, some information about their appearance has been revealed.
According to reports from 9to5google, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will continue to use OLED panels from the Samsung screen. The company is reported to have made two display drivers – C10 (Cheetah) and P10 (Panther) – which are the same as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro display drivers. This means that Google will continue to use last year’s OLED panel from Samsung on its 2022 smartphone.
Pixel 7 will have a 6.4 -inch OLED panel (S6E3FC3) with full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Pixel 7 Pro will display a 6.71 inch OLED panel (S6E3HC3) with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Both cellphones have HDR10+ compatibility and hole-shaped cuttings for selfie cameras.
Although the Pixel 7 series displays a display hardware that is identical to the Pixel 6 series, it is unclear whether Google will bring optimization through software. It was revealed that the company finally brought a 1080p display resolution mode with Android 13.
