At that time, he said how he would finance the acquisition.
The Tesla CEO said Thursday in the document filed to the US securities regulator that he was exploring what was known as a tender offer to buy all ordinary shares of a social platform for $ 54.20 per share in cash. Under the bid of tender, Musk, which has around 9% of Twitter shares, will accept its offer directly to other shareholders, past the council.
But Musk hasn’t decided whether to do that. The document said Twitter had not responded to the Musk’s proposal.Last week the Twitter Board adopted the defense of “poison pills” which could make expensive takeover efforts.
