Hina Rabbani Khar: Pakistan minister brags about being ‘unapologetically close’ to China

Hina Rabbani Khar, Pakistani Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs, has stated that his country is in a strategic alliance with China and “Not Regret Closer” for that. He spoke in a discussion held with the Pakistan-China Institute of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. He stressed a strict strategic relationship between Islamabad and Beijing and remembering the national political consensus on this issue.

Khar claims that both sides of political spectrum generally agree that China is the foundation of the country’s foreign policy. He asserted that the Chinese ties were a top priority for the late Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and that there was no next government that changed the important aspects of this foreign policy. “The initiative launched by President Xi Jinping, whether it was a global development initiative or global security initiative, is evidence of the fact that China prioritizes human security and stability rather than confrontation,” he said.

Every five years, the congress is held, and those who are interested in China examined him for instructions on the nation’s future. The two -stage growth plan for China during the middle of the twenty -first century will also be decided by the Congress, along with important priorities over the next five years. The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong stated that the National People’s Congress was the most significant political agenda for the end of this year. Meanwhile, he said that CPEC had changed Pakistani’s socio -economic environment by renewing infrastructure and solving energy problems. He described the relationship between Pakistan and China as “rocks”.

Rong added that China will remain in Islamabad during difficult times and declare solidarity with Pakistan in connection with floods that have brought disaster throughout the country. The Center for Flood Response and National Coordination was previously established with the approval of the Pakistani coalition government to provide an institutional response to the ongoing Pakistani flood disaster. The largest natural disaster that hit Pakistan in almost ten years is currently underway. Millions of people have been influenced by flooding, and as a result, the Pakistani government has declared “National Emergency”.
