Apple brings back battery percentage icon on status bar in latest iOS beta
Apple technology giant has brought back the battery percentage icon, which displays the actual number of numerical charges, on the status bar in the latest Beta iOS 16. According to Techcrunch, the battery indicator is returned on iOS 16 Beta 5, but it still needs to be activated for anyone who runs the beta through the settings menu.
The option to switch to the percentage of batteries is found in the “battery” angle of the settings menu, above the low power mode switch. Reportedly, updates are limited to beta users for now. The battery percentage indicator made its debut back in the era of the iPhone 3GS before disappearing with the appearance of a notch on the iPhone X around 2017.
Apple does not always store every beta feature in the final release – especially if the initial feedback pushes something back – but it is most likely that the battery percentage icon will return at the end of September with the right 16 iOS release, the report is said.Meanwhile, a recent report said that iOS 16 will let users edit iMessage for five times and once they reach the limit, the edit option will disappear from the long press menu.
