‘The Pentaverate’ Season 2: Why There Won’t Be Second Season on Netflix

Mike Myers returned to her roots in playing many characters in the new Netflix series The Pentaverate released on May 5. After a week on the platform, this event failed to make a spark that showed season 2 was not on the card but it was always a plan for performances to become a limited series even though the others speculated the opposite.

6 episodes of the new comedy series arrived on May 5 which made a Canadian journalist enter his neck when investigating a mysterious conspiracy group known as a penafe who shared similarities with groups like Illuminati.

Why The Pentaverate won’t return for a season 2

Pentaverate will not return to Netflix for season 2 because it is designed and produced as a limited series. That is not to say if the show is the success of the escape that can not be done but in this case, it is not the plan.If we look back at all Netflix promotions for performances (including press broadcasts to trade) we can see that they all refer to the show as a limited series at least at the beginning of its development. The deadline in June 2021 explicitly mentioned the show “Half an hour of limited comedy”. It should be noted that the next article does not mention the fact that it is a limited series.

Most of the confusion seems to be around how Netflix labeled the show as it really called it “Season 1”, which is contrary to the “Limited Series” as most other mini-Series do. Digitalspy also seems to think that “At least there are plans for the story to be continued” but that’s not the problem.Netflix in recent months has referred to some of their limited series as the title “Event” and that seems to have happened here. The trailer for this series mentions the release as “comedy series”.

Of course, the show wrapped up well, however, it means that there isn’t much need for season 2.At the end of season 1, our hero Ken Scarborough has dropped Penafe which has now changed its name to Septaverate. They succeeded in making big changes with significant changes now there are 7 members, not 5.

How well is The Pentaverate performing on Netflix?

Unfortunately, the show was not seen to perform very well on Netflix.Specifically not in the Top 10 Global list released by Netflix for performance between May 2 and May 8 which means scores below 10.85 million hours are seen. The fact was taken by many trade by one calling it “bombing”.

The top 10 raw numbers suggest that the show failed to make a breakthrough throughout the world too. Flixpatrol reported the program only on 10 US and England’s top TV for one day before dropping out of school. The program performed the best in Canada appeared on Top 10S TV for 8 days and the whole Top 10 for 3 days.

On the side of the review, everything is a little more diverse.Criticism scores for this series are very bad. Currently has 21% on Rottentenomatoes but the audience score so far has better fate. It holds an audience score of 61% in RT and it is reflected in IMDB with 6.1/10. Speaking of IMDB, this event peaked at #46 at IMDB Moviemeter after release.Do you want to see more Mike Myers Tomfooly on Netflix? Do you want to see it handling other projects for streamers?
